Join us for the Car Craft's AntiTour 2011
This year, we will take a break from the Arizona heat and head north to the 15th Annual Cruisin Morro Bay Car show. We will meet at Turbonetics in Simi Valley Friday morning for a shop tour and inside look at the latest in turbocharger technology. Following the tour, we will hit the back roads of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties for scenic drives through mountain passes and the types of small towns you have to zoom way in on Google Maps to see. Nutritious road food and novel roadside attractions will be abundant.
We will arrive in Morro Bay Friday evening in time for the 6:00 pm Car Show Cruise Night. The Morro Bay Car Show typically draws about 500 cars from across the state, so there are bound to be some awesome cars in attendance. Open headers on Main Street are for us car guys, but there will also be an ice cream social for the wife and kids.
The car show begins Saturday morning at 9am. We will have a sectioned-off area to park our cars. You can hang out and talk with fellow gearheads, check out the cars on Main Street, and sample seaside cuisine on Morro Bay's Embarcadero. Be sure to check out the giant rock in the ocean just off Coleman Drive. It's likely the tallest thing in Morro Bay.
We will return to Los Angeles either Saturday night or Sunday morning depending on how quickly we wish to get back to our lives here.
Please RSVP- the organizers of Cruisin' Morro Bay would appreciate an accurate car count. Go to the AntiTour 2011 RSVP thread on our message board to add your name to the list. See you in May.
