Late into the night, Billy Glidden (son of drag racing legend Bob Glidden) pulled his '01 Pro Mod car to the line against Chuck Samuel's '89 coupe. Samuel snoozed at the light with a 0.682 to Glidden's 0.470 reaction time only to find Glidden stepping out of it for a moment as the car lost traction. Glidden chased down the '89 and while slipping and sliding all over the track managed to take the win with a slower 7.23 at 191 mph over Samuel's 7.044 at 206 mph. That's what heads-up racing is all about!
