A parade through downtown Ely took place on Friday afternoon following registration, and a wide array of iron was flaunted.

Our steed for the event was Miles Cook's '01 Bullitt Mustang, which is all stock save for the Paxton supercharger and intercooler hung on the front of the engine. The Paxton-urged stocker proved dead reliable and impressive. Tech inspector and all around nice guy Ray Butler inspected Miles Cook's ponycar. Butler pays close attention to participants' tires, as they are the most critical pieces of an open-road race car. The tires need a sufficient speed rating and a minimum tread depth.
