Rick Doria set the high-mph mark of the event, clocking a scorching 216-mph peak. The '90 Corvette averaged a touch over 180 mph and secured a Third Place in class finish.
Chevrolet Corvair Left Front View
This Corvair from hell owned by Charlie Friend of Alamogordo, New Mexico, features an all-C4 Corvette suspension, a 406-inch Mouse for motivation, and a Porsche 930 turbo transaxle. It posted an average speed of 166 mph.		 1998 Ford Mustang Cobra Right Side View
This is Tim Jones and his 200-mph nitro-burning blender. In the background is his stock-bodied 190-mph "it's just a Mustang" '98 Cobra. Tim experienced tire failure at just over 180 mph, resulting in a high pucker factor but remarkably no damage. Great driving, Tim!		 1962 Dodge Polara Left Front View
Can you believe 193 mph from a '62 Dodge Polara? It takes serious horsepower to push a car with the drag coefficient of a strip mall to nearly 200 mph. Joel and Diane Hannig of Hickson, North Dakota, brought this wonder out to play in the Unlimited class.
